TRANSPORTATION

Superintendent

Location: San Mateo, California

Scope of Work and Requirements:
  • The Superintendent is the company representative who has the primary responsibility for all field operations, including the coordination of subcontractors’ work.
  • Superintendent is responsible for all field activities associated with the project, including ultimate responsibility for implementation of Safety/Zero Harm program for the jobsite, supervision of all field construction work by subcontractors and self-performed work.
  • Shares responsibility with the project manager for developing the project budget, actively participating in the preconstruction phase, and ensuring that the project is built on time, within budget, and according to company policies and procedures.
  • B.S. in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred and 7+ years of experience. Depending upon the project size, scope, and complexity the years of experience may vary.
  • Rail experience is required.

Assistant Construction Manager

Location: San Mateo, California

Scope of Work and Requirements:
  • Undertake the day to day construction management of the project in terms of safety, quality, environment, engineering/ design compliance, etc. Make decisions and recommendations that can greatly affect profitability of assigned area.

Change Manager

Scope of Work and Requirements:
  • Handle the daily operations of the warehouse, including but not limited to freight, shipping and receiving, and inventory. The successful applicant will maintain high levels of accuracy in day-to-day operations.
  • Manage and control material for the project by developing and documenting standard operating procedures for receiving, handling, storing and shipping of products or materials.
  • Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree preferred in logistics, supply chain management or business administration.
  • 3-5 years proven experience managing warehouse processes, people management, performance and operations reporting.
  • Demonstrates proficiency using a personal computer (PC) and company communication tools, such as email, internet, and Microsoft products (e.g., Word, Excel, Office, Outlook).

Environmental Health & Safety Representative

Location: San Mateo, California

Scope of Work and Requirements:
  • Responsible for the implementation of the company’s safety and loss prevention programs. Ensures jobsite employees and subcontractors are trained in all safety programs and protocol, including federal/state regulations, in order to prevent accidents and/or injuries. Manages and mentors Loss Prevention Coordinators and Loss Prevention Managers.
  • Assists Superintendent with sediment and erosion control and other environmental responsibilities to manage Hazardous Materials Storage areas, Fugitive Dust, Cal EPA requirements and more.
  • Assists Loss Prevention and Operations in preparing safety related bid documents and project-specific safety programs.
  • B.S. in Safety & Environmental Health or related field preferred and minimum of 5 years of experience, overseeing multiple areas, preferably in the construction industry. Depending upon the project size, scope, and complexity the years of experience may vary.

Track Access Coordination Manager

Location: San Mateo, California

Scope of Work and Requirements:
  • Undertake the day to day issues associated with work trains. Planning and implementing track access to the railway, to allow the construction team to carry out the work.
  • Auditing of Rule Book compliance.
  • Produce accurate train schedules for accessibility.
  • Partner with planners and Scheduling Manager.
  • Manage safety team competency audits.
  • Attend Track access planning meetings with TASI and Rail Operators.

Change Engineer

Scope of Work and Requirements:
  • Provide Contract Management support in the areas of contract administration, including but not limited to, changes/claims documents, enforcement, warranty administration and contract closeout.
  • Provide technical analysis, cost analysis support as requested, and review of all requests for changes submitted by the construction contractors
  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent degree.
  • Proven experience in works related to changes that affect cost and schedule in gas and oil projects.
  • Specialized software related to costs and programming.

Estimator/Cost Engineer

Location: San Mateo, California

Scope of Work and Requirements:
  • Work with Project Management to improve cost reporting, cost controls and forecasting.
  • Code daily labor, purchase orders, subcontractor invoices, costs, quantities, actual expenditures, etc. for tracking in cost system.
  • Manage extra work process, change orders and claims management.
  • Create or assist in weekly meeting agenda and deliver, MPR, QF Reports, and Project Cash Flow.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field from an accredited institution and 3+ years construction engineering experience or 6 years construction engineering related experience if no degree in a related field.
  • Experience in resource monitoring techniques (i.e. cost accounting, cost analysis, scheduling, basic estimating) is required.

Office/Field Engineer

Location: San Mateo, California

Scope of Work and Requirements:
  • Office/Field Engineer is to assist the Project Engineer and Superintendent with the planning and daily execution of the project. Responsible for maintaining certain aspects of the project schedule as assigned by the Project Manager, by managing the process of submittal approvals, coordinating the timely delivery of materials, maintaining schedules and budgets.
  • The operations may include: safety meetings, processing of submittals and request for information, cost analysis and projections, supervision and quality inspection of field work (including night work), procurement of materials, subcontractor scheduling and coordination, scheduling, use of critical path logic.
  • 1-4 years of experience, equivalent combinations of technical training and related experience.
  • B.S. in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
  • Computer knowledge of office suite programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of CAD and Primavera a plus.

Accountant

Scope of Work and Requirements:
  • Compile, interpret and analyze accounting data such as budget, encumbrances and expenses.
