It is important that your employer and\nco-workers see that you work well under pressure and can handle\nresponsibilities. This will serve you well down the road when they offer you\nadditional tasks and work. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Be Prompt\u2026 Or Even Early <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>It may seem like a small detail, but showing up on time or\neven early can instill confidence in your abilities by your employer; being\nlate, on the other hand, would make a bad first impression. As Fortune notes,\n\u201cNo one wants to see you running through the front door two minutes before you\nare supposed to start on your first day. It will also give you time to settle\nin and breathe a bit before meeting your new coworkers.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Connect with Co-Workers <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Fortune recommends starting off a conversation with a new\nco-worker with two questions: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Where are you from?<\/li><li>How long have you been with the company?<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>These questions are great non-invasive ways to spark a\nconversation and show interest in someone else; plus they\u2019ll have the\nopportunity to talk about themselves and give you a chance to take a few\nrelaxing breaths.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Making a good first impression at your new job is a solid\nfirst step to help you succeed in your new position.
